Boyu (Neil) Kuang (PhD, Research Fellow in Computer Vision) received his PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence from Cranfield University, United Kingdom. An expert in computer vision, image processing, deep learning, data analysis, and digital signal processing, proficient in using Python, C++, MATLAB, TensorFlow, Pytorch, OpenCV, Sci-kit learn, Matplot, Linux, VisualSFM, MeshLab, Unity3D, OpenMVG, PCL, and drone. Dr. Kuang has broad research interests in wearable smart devices, digital twin, blockchain, remote sensing, medical image processing, and aerospace.
Boyu participated in 13 cutting-edge publications as a 1st or 2nd author, which involve a wide range of subjects in artificial intelligence, machine vision, signal processing, automotive, robotics, digital twin, chemical engineering, aerospace, remote sensing, and space science. He actively participated in peer review as an experienced reviewer for many high-profile conferences or journals from IEEE, ASME, Elsevier, and MDPI. He has many years of experience supervising graduate students in taught modules and research projects. Worked with industrial partners (like Airbus, BAM Construction, Ltd., etc.) as an academic partner in many projects (like 3D geometry validation, construction site digital twin, etc.).
